Our History

Technical Rescue Association of Virginia was founded over 20 years ago by a group of firefighters who recognized the need for a local organization dedicated to providing real world tech rescue training for Virginia first responders.

Since then, we have grown to provide that same real world training for teams from across the services and around the nation, serving hundreds of individuals each year. Rescue Challenge is regarded as one of the best training opportunities in the country. Four days working 8 technical rescue scenarios brought from the real world experience of our facilitators.

Our Staff

Our team is made up of dedicated professionals who are passionate about technical rescue. From board members to site facilitators, we work together to provide comprehensive training and support to our partners.
